(Auto)Biographical Information

Born in Connecticut, I attained my BA in English (with a Spanish Minor) on the other side of the country at the University of Oregon.  During my senior year, I studied abroad in Oviedo, Spain, an experience which changed my life.  After graduation, I moved back to northern Spain for several years and eventually went to Madrid where I attained a MA in Latin American Literature through New York University.  From Madrid, I went to Salamanca, Spain for a year of teaching and eventually moved to London, UK where I attained a PhD in Comparative Literature from University College London, University of London.  I am happily married to a wonderful Asturian woman named Marta and together we're doing our best to prepare our son Otto for the future.
